Casual Conversations with Kick Ass Women in Construction

BWiC invites you to join the conversation, to build connection, advance an initiative, maybe even solve a problem or two.  We are honored to welcome prominent women within the commercial construction industry to share the intentional and the serendipitous, their hero’s and the villain’s, the opportunities captured, lost  and set free, and what they spend far too much time doing, with their time.  We promise, it will be worth yours.

As an added bonus we will be admitting six fortunate registrants—chosen randomly-- to attend in person (safely) at the AGC MA conference center. All other attendants will participate by Zoom.

We welcome this month's featured speaker Denise Aronson, the Founder and CEO of Safety Partners, Inc., which provides hands-on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) services and training to New England’s expanding life sciences industry. Ms. Aronson leveraged 10 years of bench science biochemistry research experience with her lab management and lab safety experience to launch Safety Partners in 1992. Under her leadership, Safety Partners has clocked over 450,000 hours at over 500 New England life sciences companies. Safety Partners’ team of employees has grown to 40 EHS professionals who provide safety program implementation to clients for biological, chemical, and radiation safety; ergonomics; emergency preparedness; animal care and use; regulatory compliance; and more.

Ms. Aronson takes great pride that in 2007 Safety Partners was awarded one of the 25 Best Small Companies by Working Mother magazine. The achievement recognized her vision to create a career path for working parents with bench science experience into EHS professionals serving the life sciences industry.

Denise is a certified chemical hygiene officer through the National Registry of Certified Chemists, co-chair for MassBio's SEF Working Group, and served on the Advisory Board for the UMass Lowell Department of Work Environment.

Ms. Aronson is a member of NEBSA, NEAIHA, ACS, CSHEMA, ALMA, and NEBALAAS and is an active member in the life science community: NSTC Biosciences Group First Friday Seminar Series, founding member of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce Life Sciences Leads Group, and the MALSI Day planning committee.
