Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before a scheduled program or event to receive a refund. This gives us the opportunity to allow other members to register. You may cancel by phone or email. No-Shows are not eligible for a refund or credit.
This program is eligible for MCAP Reimbursement
AGC Members that are MCAP contributors will receive a 75% reimbursement of the registration fee for this program after the full registration fee is paid to AGC. The maximum reimbursement allowed for each program is $4,000 per firm. Attendance is mandatory for reimbursement.
The maximum reimbursement allowed for all eligible programs is $15,000 per year.

NEW VIRTUAL LEAN SERIES!
The Lean Construction Series has now moved to a virtual format. There are 13 sessions from October 27 - November 24 from 9am - 12pm on Tuesdays - Thursdays. There will be a mix of attendees from New England giving all attendees the opportunity to meet and network with a more diverse group.
This is a certificate program that consists of seven units. Following the completion of all seven units, individuals will have a deep knowledge of both the theory and application of Lean Construction and be able to sit for an exam to earn AGC’s Certificate of Management - Lean Construction (CM-LC) credential.
Make up sessions are still available!
If you missed a unit(s) you are still able to take them virtually and get the credit in order to take the Lean Exam. Please contact Kara Morgan at morgan@agcmass.org to be added to the roster.

Unit 1, Variation in Production Systems
- Understand the different types of variation
- Learn the concept of throughput

- Building on the work begin in LCEP Unit 3, this course revisits the Last Planner System (LPS) in greater depth, focusing on the concept of production planning, as contrasted with project management.
- Following completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Apply the Last Planner System on a project;
- Hold make-ready and weekly work planning sessions; and
- Calculate, track and analyze percent plan complete for a project
- Differentiate between traditional procurement practices and lean supply chain applications
- Identify waste and value-adding activities within the supply chain and assembly
- Identify strategies needed at the project and company levels to support the lean supply chain
- Expand lean beyond the individual project
- Create a value stream map to diagnose and improve the supply chain

Colin has 15 years construction management experience in both the office and the field combined with seven years of university teaching experience in construction engineering and management.
Colin has work with public and private organizations on projects ranging from $2 million to $1 billion, assisting project teams and organizations implement Lean Construction and Enterprise practices. He has a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley where he studied Lean Construction and tolerance management with the founders of the Lean Construction Institute (LCI). In addition, Colin co-founded LCI San Diego, is a member of the International Group for Lean Construction advisory board and is on the core group of LCI New England.
